Friends, it’s Friday. We ate dinner with Alan’s parents last night. Colin shared with Grandma that today was the day Jesus died. Grandma nodded saying, “Yes, and do you know what that day is called?” “Good Friday,” Colin answered quickly.
“Yes,” Grandma said then thinking, she scrunched her brows, “It doesn’t seem like that’s a very good name. Maybe it should be Sad Friday or something. It doesn’t seem very Good.”
Colin with an incredulous look said, “But Grandma, there is nothing sad about it because He just rose again in three days. He had to die so He could rise again.”
Preach it, brother. Friends, it is Friday, but Sunday is a coming! No matter what you are going through, what cross you have to bear, what struggles you are carrying – those things are Friday, and Sunday is a coming!
This is one of the most powerful videos I’ve ever seen. It’s about 3 1/2 minutes. Don’t miss it!
I'm one sassy southern Mama who loves Jesus and isn't afraid to shout it. My passions are Jesus, my husband, my kids, and chocolate. I'm a teacher turned Christian writer. Ask me why I love Jesus and be prepared to sit a spell.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul, but don't forget to love your neighbor as yourself. I am a firm believer that we can change the world one person at a time - by being Christ with the skin on to those who are in need.
