I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalm 34:1
I zoomed down the streets with my bitty girl buckled in the back. We were headed to her gymnastics class. On the radio was “Blessed by the name of the Lord, Blessed be Your name…” I was singing along when from the backseat I hear, “Does that make you write better?”
Confused, I asked Faith to repeat what she said. Again she asked, “Does that make you write better?” I don’t usually discuss my writing with Faith and didn’t know until then that she realized mommy wrote. “Does what make me write better?” I asked.
“Jesus songs. Does it make you write better when you sing Jesus songs?” I laughed at that and then paused. Does singing a “Jesus” song, praising His glorious name, make me write better? “Yes, Faith, it does. It sure does.” I smiled realizing I had just learned something from my three-year-old.
Praising God makes all things better.
Oh…now that…is SWEET!!!!!
You’ve truly brightened my Wednesday.
Have a BLESSED day.
Amen and amen!!! 🙂
Carol, I was just singing praise music today in the van ( at the top of my lungs)when I realized God was putting many things on my heart to share. He is so good!
I love the way he chooses to teach us things. They get embedded into our brain when he uses our children to show us something.
Out of the mouths of babes!
Too cute…
Out of the mouths of babes!!! Okay, I just looked down and saw that Stephanie has commented the very same thing. I promise you I didn’t even look before I started typing!!!
I love it that our kids “get it”
Funny how you dont have to have lots of years experience to know whats important! Reminds me of 1 Timothy 4:12
How perceptive she is. It is always good when we can learn a lesson from a child’s innocent views. Who knew.
