New Life
A new season.
New beginnings.
What once was asleep,
Awakens
Filling, Stretching, Bursting
With new life.
And sitting on a branch, brown and drab,
Is beauty.
Drawing attention to itself
For simply being.
It basks in the sun
And simply is.

We spent the weekend at Alan’s grandparent’s house soaking in some love. I took some pictures in their yard of the beautiful Dogwoods springing to life. Reminds me of my own life with Christ. With Him, I am awakened.
That is so beautiful. I love all that Spring holds…so many hopes and promises!
Great picture. I really like the part of this beautiful flower popping out of something once dead and drab!!
Really great, Carol!
I love dogwoods! We have a picture of dogwood blossoms up in our home. 🙂
And I love your poem! I was praying with my girls on the way to school this morning that just as things are blooming and growing in the natural world, that He would begin to cause things to blossom and grow in our hearts, in our spirits!
Love you!
This poem was beautiful. And the picture was great too. I’ve missed you the last few days. First I was gone, then you were. Can’t wait to spend the day together on Monday 🙂
they are beautiful!
Pretty, Carol.
Did you intend for the poem to be shaped like anything? It could be a plant in a pot, or a tree, or a leaf.(I always did great on the ink-blot tests!) If it was intentional – cool! If not, cool!
