Does your husband or wife rock? Well, tell me about it and get a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Union 28. Most of you know that Alan and I teach and speak on marriage. It’s something we are passionate about. Choosing to be intentional about your marriage is one of the best choices you can make.


Whether your marriage is going through a bumpy spot or whether is a strong as ever, what better time to display how much you love your spouse? I LOVE this company. It is run by a husband and wife team who think bragging on your spouse is one way to breath life into a marriage. (I love it so much I have three of their shirts and want more!!)

This is the mission statement for Union 28:

To encourage marriages and to honor the sacred covenant between a husband and his wife by communicating a positive image of marriage in a fun and stylish way.


Don’t you love it? Okay, okay, you want to know how to win the gift certificate right? Well, I’m going to give you lots of ways, so you’ll have more than one entry.


Each of the following are worth one entry:
1. Visit the Union 28 site and then leave me a comment telling me why your spouse rocks!

2. Sign up for my email subscription. It’s in the top right corner of my website. (Just so you know how it works, you’ll get an email in return and you’ll have to confirm the subscription. After that, you will only get an email when I post something. And I would NEVER sell or use my subscribers addresses in any other way.) If you already have a subscription, just let me know.

3. Put a link to this post on Facebook, and then come back and leave another comment telling me.

4. Have your spouse come leave a comment with your name telling why you rock!

Well, that gives you at least four chances to enter. The contest will close at 12 a.m. EST on Thursday, Feb. 10th. I will announce the winner on Friday, February 11th. You will win a $25 gift certificate to Union 28 where you can pick out your favorite item!

    I love these shirts! If I don't win, I really think I am going to have to order one on my own. I love the tie-dyed ones. 🙂 And the black ones. And the pink ones…oh, my. How will I chose!?!?!?! 🙂

    My husband ROCKS because he treats me like a princess. Not spoiled and pampered…I mean he treats me with kindness, respect, love, honor. He is an amazing husband and I thank God for him!!!!

    He serves our country & has taken care of me & our 3 kids and loves me even when I am not so loveable. He thinks I can do whatever I set my mind to do and encourages me. He is the bestest! 🙂

    I have subcribed to your site. I enjoy taking a little break at work and checking out your devotions.

    I am very blessed to be married to Blair. We are actually going to Look Up Lodge with a group of friends form church over Valentines weekend for a Marriage Retreat!

    He is a very devoted husband and father. He puts up with me especially on my "bad" days. He works with Landon so much on Homework which is such a blessing to me.

    I would have to say my man is pretty awesome!! Besides the fact that he's totally in love with our Savior and not afraid to show it, he's also totally in love with me. Since marrying him 2 and half years ago, he has always led our family based on God's Word, patiently comforted me as I mourn the loss of my 1st husband, accepts and loves my 2 children as his own – to the point of adopting them this past summer, and given me a new child too.

    Yep, I'd say he pretty much ROCKS!!!!

    My husband rocks because he has become such an incredible spiritual leader for our family. His has such a strong devotion to God, me and our children. Plus he does all the yard work and takes out the trash!

    Carol, I've posted to FB & hope I properly tagged you (?). Anyway, my husband rocks because there is nothing he wouldn't do or hasn't done for me and the girls. He outright adopted my/our 1st daughter, so we could "officially" become a family when we got married. With our 2nd, recently born daughter, he cared for us both for the first 2 mos straight as I had had an emergency c-section due to complications with my blood pressure and the baby's heart rate. There wasn't a need that he missed whether it was picking up the baby and bringing her to me for a feeding, or changing diaper after diaper. He is a good man with a good soul. G-d truly knew what He had/has in mind for our family as we have been blessed to have one another!

    JOSE ROCKS !!!
    Jose is a wonderful husband – While we do not have the picture perfect marriage and have had our share of bumpy spots but we always make it together and stronger for each bump. But the one thing he is always to me is supportive. Bless his heart he moved across country for my job and closed his company, that took him 14 years to build strong. Just as he is getting ready to have a new start for himself in Kentucky,we find out my company is moving us again and never a complaint, just support telling me how proud he is of me and bragging on me…. I love him so much… He is MY ROCK.

    Hey, Carol. My husband rocks, b/c I am his first love and he has always been devoted to me. He never plays games with me to make me jealous, and he always makes me feel beautiful. He is committed to making our marriage work, even if it means he needs to work on himself. I can be myself, good and bad, around him and can see he's still in love with me. It's in the way he looks at me, 11yrs later, that shows me how much he cares. There is still passion in his kiss, and Valentine's Day marks our 11yr anniversary of our 1st kiss. He's a Godly man who takes care of his family, and he's a wonderful father to our children. My husband rocks, b/c he is God's answer to my teenage prayers.
