31 Days of Christmas {free downloadable service calendar}

Dec 1

Today is the first day of December, so I thought we’d kick this holiday season off right by sharing some of our favorite Christmas songs.

Well, that’s what I thought at first. Then I decided it would be much more fun to share some of the songs that were left out of the traditional Christmas songbooks.

Here are the classics you may recognize:

All I Want for Christmas is You
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Go Tell it on the Mountain
Carol of the Bells
Deck the Halls
I Saw Three Ships (Come Sailing In)
It Came Upon a Midnight Clear
The Twelve Days of Christmas

And the updated versions:

All I Want for Christmas is on my Amazon Fav List
God Rest Ye Merry Deacon-men (a Baptist favorite)
Go Tell it on Facebook
Carol of the Buells (Buell is my maiden name)
Deck your Screen Saver
I Saw Three Casseroles (Come Steaming In)
It Came Upon 30 Mbps
The Twelve Versions of iPhone

So maybe the originals were more in the true spirit of Christmas. Speaking of the true spirit, Christmas is the season to share. What better way to spread Christmas cheer than to serve others? So, this month’s Everyday Missionary Service Calendar has an activity for EVERY DAY – all 31 of them.

You don’t have to do every activity. Just pick and choose the ones you like and can fit into your schedule. Let the calendar be a jumping off point for you and your family to find new ways to serve others. Print it and place it on the fridge as a reminder to serve this month.

But let’s work together to make this a month of service. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
