Triumph Over Tragedy

Feb 1

Friends, I have to tell you what I am so excited about!  My long-time friend Reggie Jones has just published his book Triumph Over Tragedy.  It is the story of his life and how God can take someone ordinary and do something extraordinary.  The managing editor of the book was none other than…yours truly!  Needless to say, I have read this book from beginning to end MANY times.  So, I can honestly tell you that this book has touched my life.  It is an incredible story. When you start it, you will not want to put it down!  Reggie has been a friend of mine since I was an itty, bitty girl.  You’ve just got to get it!

Now, for you hunters or wives of hunters, you’ll really love this.  Reggie is the brother of Wesley Jones from Unlimited Outdoors.  Unlimited Outdoors (for those of you non-hunters) is a hunting show hosted by Wesley Jones that airs on GAC (Great American Country) on Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m.  If you’ve never seen it, then get up early or set your Tivo because you’ll be in for a treat!  Wesley was paralyzed from the neck down after falling from a tree house when he was nine.  He hunts from his wheelchair and gives some serious glory to God.  Click on the link to his website and click on About Wes to read his whole story.
Reggie and Wesley are both professional speakers and have their own company Words of Triumph Motivational Speakers.  They each have a powerful testimony about how God has brought them through the fires of life, and they have come out stronger on the other side. Click HERE to go to the Words of Triumph Website and order yourself a copy of this book!  You’ll be glad you did.  Go quickly, though.  Reggie is almost sold out of his first printing!!

Here is a blurb about the book from the inside flap of the book cover.  Hmm… I wonder who wrote that breath taking copy? 😉

Triumph over Tragedy

Triumph Over Tragedy will have you laughing.  You will find yourself relating to the true story of Reggie Jones and his younger brother Wesley as they grow up in a small southern town outside Atlanta.   Triumph Over Tragedy will have you crying as you are drawn in by the love Reggie has for his brother.  Reggie’s life changes when Wesley, at the age of nine, falls from their tree house to leave him paralyzed.  Reggie, not much older than Wes at the time, no longer wishes to ride motorcycles or play in the outdoors because Wesley cannot enjoy it with him.  But most of all Triumph over Tragedy will leave you changed.  You will never look at another tragedy in your life the same.  You will be inspired to draw close to God as you see each obstacle Reggie overcomes.  Most people live a lifetime only to be faced with one major tragedy, if any.  Reggie and his family have experienced an overwhelming amount of tragedy, but God has taken their tragedy and turned it into an inspiration for millions.  This heartwarming story will leave you feeling stronger and ready to declare triumph!

Well, I attend the church that Reggie and Wesley go to because their father is the pastor of my church. I have grown to know and love them and their family.
