Whirrr went the electric pencil sharpener as I sharpened forty-eight new pencils to dance across pages of white. Each child sat before me with book bags in hand as I called off the items for them to place inside. Book bags packed, new clothes lying out, and lunchboxes waiting to be filled I sent my soon-to-be third grader and Kindergartener upstairs for baths…

Fun, fun, fun! I am a bit late in responding to this post, but that is okay! I have seen children come to school for the first day for the past 15 years. It never changes. The big smiles. The happy first day back attitudes. The expectations. Yes, and even the a wee bit worried kinder class. But God loves them all. I wish for your family a happy school year.

First days…how exciting! I used to get so nervous and excited that i couldn't sleep. Now I get to do it all over again with my kiddos!
