Indescribable

This has been a rough week. I was sick Monday with the stomach bug (YUCK!). Faith had it last week. Then Colin’s school called me to come and pick him up yesterday because his stomach was hurting. Last night, I had Colin in his room resting while Alan, Faith and I sat at the dinner table- defeated. At least that’s how I felt. Then I looked up. I saw the most beautiful sunset. “It’s beautiful,” Faith said in a falsetto voice. Then added, “That’s how Popeye’s wife says it.” I was drawn outside to take a picture. In my head, what I heard was “Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light? Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night..”
