A Glimpse of Heaven

Oct 12
Sometimes in the midst of the mundane every day, sometimes when we least expect. Between loads of laundry, wiping the tables, picking up the same ten toys, and reading through the mail of inconsequence there is an unexpected moment.

A pinhole glimpse of astonishing light.

You find in the most ordinary of spaces a peek at Heaven.

Your breath catches in your throat, and your heart swells until you think it might break at the beauty of it all.

And all you can do is stand and bask, drinking it in, wondering how He could have come so close without fanfare and announcement. But instead of jumping up and down with a shout, you fall.

Fall to your knees and cry Holy. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8
