I Think I Can

Sep 8

I think I can, I think I can… The Little Engine the Could was one of Colin’s favorite books when he was younger. But this story was brought to mind today as I trudged up the last hill towards the finish line in the 5K I was in. Today was the Suwanee Days 5K classic. This was only the second 5K I’ve ever been in. Running is a fairly new sport for me. A lady asked me before the race started if I was a runner or a walker. I told her I was a hybrid. I run a little and walk a little. Ha Ha!
I enjoyed running today to Avalon’s Faith Hymns. I couldn’t do it without a little praise music. But I got to jammin‘ out to Blessed Assurance and before you know it, I had finished the race.
It’s true! I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13

I am so IMPRESSED!!! I couldn’t do it !!! You’ve inspired me to start walking again! It was just too hot this summer so I vowed to hit the treadmill everyday…didn’t happen.

Way to go, hope to see you Sunday!

WOW. I’m impressed. Good for you!

I’m a walker. I think if I tried to run I might keel over and die. Middle age is sneaking up (more like stomping up wearing work boots!) and it’s taking more exercise these days to stay in shape.

Thanks for your kind words on my blog. You are such an encourager!

Way to go, girl! I wish I could have done this one with you, the last one was so much fun. I’m so proud of you! I’m on board for the Oct. run, football or not, lol!
