Can I Get an Amen?

Mar 7

Yesterday blew my socks off!  If you didn’t read my Letter to a Hurting Soul, scroll down first, or this won’t make sense to you.  When I woke up yesterday, I had my quiet time, wrote that post, and began to clean my house.  After publishing the post, I felt a huge burden had been lifted.  I knew I had done what God laid on my heart to do.

I’m throwing a baby shower on Saturday, so I busied myself cleaning and doing laundry all morning.  I didn’t read any other posts or call any friends, just got down to business.  Around lunchtime, my friend Amy called.  When I heard her voice, I knew something was wrong.  Her son Spencer had another seizure in the night.  Spencer has epilepsy.  The seizure was bad enough that he was transported to the ER by ambulance.  Amy was up all night.  She told me Spencer was back at home, but they were all worn out.
I was on my way out the door, so it didn’t hit me immediately.  Not until three hours later when Amy called again.  “I just read your post,” she said.  “It was for me. I was in the Apple store doing training for my new Mac, and I happened to read your post.  I got chills.  I knew your letter was to me.  I thought I was going to bawl my eyes out in the mall.”
By this time, I had chills, and my eyes were full of tears.  “Have you read my post?” Amy asked. I had not.  She shared with me how this morning, she was drained.  She just couldn’t pray any more.  She wanted to.  Needed to.  But hadn’t the strength.  So without knowing it, I cried, prayed, and praised God through Amy’s storm.
Friends, I want to tell you I am still in awe of what transpired today.  God is real.  God is big.  God is all powerful.  He can do anything.  He will take care of His children.
So, dear readers and sweet Amy, let me leave you with just one thought.  When you have Christ, whether you know it or not, you are never alone…

Just another example of what can happen when his children obey. He really knows what he’s doing. We should all be so quick to listen. What a blessing to see God’s power!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! That is what happens when we listen to His voice and obey……that is how we are supposed to encourage one another….not just through our own words and our own ability, but through His words and His ability! I love it.

    I LOVE our God.

This is one more example of how He can knock our socks off when we are listening and doing what He impresses on our hearts to do!

    Love this!
